EXPERIENCE
Richard A. Thompson, CPA, is a partner with Sikich. He concentrates on income tax, estate tax, and financial planning for closely-held businesses, their owners, and individual clients. With nearly 30 years experience Rick focuses much of his practice on transactional services including business entity selection, succession planning, estate planning, and mergers and acquisitions. He serves a wide variety of clients in many industries including manufacturing, real estate, service businesses, and high net worth individuals. Rick has served as an instructor for continuing education courses at the national and local levels and has taught at Northern Illinois University and Elgin Community College. He is a frequent speaker on various aspects of taxation.
